§ Supply · Manipur · North-East India

    Foam filters for Manipur.

Die-cut reticulated foam, sheet stock and gaskets supplied to industry across Manipur — specified for what Manipur's plants are actually breathing, not from a catalogue.

    § 01 · Manipur

    What this state breathes.

Manipur is an unusual specification problem for its size, because two of its industries want opposite ends of our range. Silk reeling deals in a fibre fine enough to pass through the coarse foam a handloom shed would fit, so a single state-wide grade recommendation would be wrong for one of them.

Climate. A humid subtropical hill climate with a heavy monsoon and cool winters. Humidity governs almost everywhere, with the Hundung cement belt the single exception.

    § 02 · Local industry

    Who buys foam here.

    • Sericulture and silk reelingSilk fibre is far finer than cotton or bamboo dust, and it needs a mid-grade element rather than the coarse one a handloom shed would use.
    • Handloom weavingCotton and wool lint — bulky, and the classic case for a coarse deep element.
    • Hydroelectric generation, LoktakPowerhouse ventilation and transformer cooling, where lake-side air is close to saturation year round.
    • Cement, HundungThe one genuinely mineral-dust duty in the state, and it needs a different specification from everything else here.

Industrial centres served: Imphal and Lamphelpat · Sekmai · Loktak · Hundung.

    § 03 · Specification

    What we'd recommend.

This state splits along fibre size, which is unusual. Silk reeling wants 45 PPI, because silk fibre passes straight through the coarse grades a weaving shed would specify. Handloom sheds want the opposite: 20 PPI in a thick section for cotton and wool lint. Loktak's powerhouse intakes want polyether above all — lake-side air sits close to saturation — and Hundung's cement plant wants 20 PPI thick, on mineral-dust logic rather than fibre logic.

That is where we would start for sericulture and silk reeling, not a quote. Tell us the equipment, what it draws in and how often it will realistically be serviced, and the grade narrows quickly. Background: choosing a PPI and polyester against polyether.

    § 04 · How it is supplied

Getting it to Imphal and Lamphelpat.

Most Manipur enquiries arrive as one of two things: a die-cut element matched to a filter that already exists, or sheet stock for a converter cutting in-house. Both start from the same information — grade, thickness, and either a drawing, a DXF or the old part. Repeat orders then run against the same tooling.

We cut the foam ourselves at our own facility in Ghaziabad, which is why the recommendation above is a technical opinion rather than whatever happens to be in stock. Pricing is volume-based — see how foam is quoted.

    § 05 · Manipur questions

    Common questions.

Do you supply reticulated foam filters in Manipur?

Yes — die-cut filter elements, gaskets and sheet stock, supplied to industry across Manipur including Imphal and Lamphelpat, Sekmai, Loktak and Hundung. Manufacturing is at our own facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and orders ship to you directly. Grades run from 20 to 80 PPI and thickness from 5 mm upwards, cut to your drawing, DXF or a sample of the element you want matched.

Which foam grade suits conditions in Manipur?

A humid subtropical hill climate with a heavy monsoon and cool winters. Humidity governs almost everywhere, with the Hundung cement belt the single exception.

Why would silk reeling and handloom need different foam?

Because the fibre sizes are not comparable. Cotton and wool lint from a weaving shed is bulky, so a 20 PPI element catches it through depth and holds a great deal before restricting. Silk fibre is finer by a wide margin and passes straight through that lattice — it needs around 45 PPI to be caught at all. Fitting the handloom grade in a reeling unit means the filter looks clean and is doing very little.
