A unit that has been switched on.
The distinction that matters in assembly work is whether anyone tested the thing. A kit of correct parts is not a product, and the discovery that it does not work belongs on our bench, not yours.

- Wiring harness — made to a schedule, cut, crimped, sleeved and dressed.
- Board mounting — standoffs, insulation, torque where it matters.
- Mechanical integration — brackets, fasteners, seals, moving parts.
- Sealing and filtration — gaskets and vent filters cut in-house to the same drawing set.
- Labelling and serialisation — legends, ratings plates, serial numbers recorded.
- Functional test — every unit powered up and confirmed to do what it should.
- Packing — for the transit the product actually faces.
Where assemblies usually fail.
Assembly problems are rarely assembly problems. They are interface problems, and they surface on the bench because that is the first place two suppliers' work meets.
The housing from supplier A has a cable entry 3 mm from where the harness from supplier B needs it. The gasket is the right outline and the wrong thickness. The board stands 1.5 mm too tall for the lid once the connector is seated. Each of these is somebody else's tolerance, and resolving it means three parties agreeing whose drawing was wrong.
When the enclosure, the printed brackets, the gasket and the vent filter are all cut here to one drawing set, that entire category of problem largely disappears — and where it does appear, there is one team accountable rather than a chain pointing at each other.
What "tested" means.
As standard, every unit is powered up and functionally confirmed. That is a real check, and for many products it is the right level.
If your product needs more, it has to be specified before the first build rather than requested afterwards — because a test regime is a process, not an inspection:
- Recorded measurements against limits — values captured per unit rather than a pass or fail.
- Burn-in — running for a defined period to catch early-life failures before they reach a customer.
- Serialised test certificates — records tied to serial numbers and supplied with the consignment.

Your design stays yours.
Work done to your brief is your intellectual property, including any CAD we produce, and you receive the files. We are a manufacturer rather than a licensor — holding a customer's design hostage is a poor way to earn a repeat order.

What does turnkey assembly include?
Everything between a design and a working unit: the enclosure, the wiring harness made to a schedule, board mounting, mechanical integration, labelling, functional test and packing. You receive a unit that has been switched on and checked, not a kit of parts with an assembly drawing attached.
What quantities do you assemble?
From ten units to around ten thousand. Small batches suit pilot builds and first production runs; the upper end is steady repeat manufacture. Below ten it is usually more sensible to treat it as prototyping work, which we also do — the difference is process documentation rather than capability.
Do you test every unit or a sample?
Every unit gets a functional test as standard — it is switched on and confirmed to do what it is supposed to do. If your product needs a specific test regime beyond that, such as recorded measurements against limits, burn-in, or a signed test certificate per serial number, tell us at the scoping stage and it becomes part of the process rather than an afterthought.
Can you supply the enclosure and printed parts as well as assembling?
Yes, and it is the main reason to use us for assembly. The enclosure, printed brackets, foam gaskets and filters can all be made here to the same drawing set, which removes the fit problems that appear when a housing from one supplier meets a harness from another on an assembly bench.
Who owns the design if you help develop it?
You do. Work done to your brief is your intellectual property, including the CAD, and you get the files. We are a manufacturer, not a licensor — holding your design hostage would be a poor way to earn a repeat order.
