§ Supply · Assam · North-East India

    Foam filters for Assam.

Die-cut reticulated foam, sheet stock and gaskets supplied to industry across Assam — specified for what Assam's plants are actually breathing, not from a catalogue.

    § 01 · Assam

    What this state breathes.

Assam combines very high humidity with fibrous industrial dust from tea and timber, and that is a combination reticulated foam handles unusually well — provided the chemistry is right. Get the polyether decision correct here and the element will outlast several seasons of paper media; get it wrong and it will not see out one.

Climate. One of the wettest and most humid regions in India, with an extremely heavy monsoon and high relative humidity for most of the year.

    § 02 · Local industry

    Who buys foam here.

    • Tea processingTea factory air is full of fine leaf dust and fibre — bulky, and it clogs surface filters quickly.
    • Oil refining, Numaligarh, Bongaigaon and DigboiPlant and compressor intakes in very humid air.
    • Plywood and timberWood dust — fibrous, high volume, and a combustible load when saturated.
    • Cement and food processing, GuwahatiGeneral plant filtration.

    § 03 · Specification

    What we'd recommend.

Humidity governs everything here, so polyether only — a polyester element in Assam would not last a season. Tea factory and plywood duties want 20 PPI in thick sections for the fibre load. Given the five-to-six-day freight, specify generously and hold a spare set rather than ordering reactively.

That is where we would start for tea processing, not a quote. Tell us the equipment, what it draws in and how often it will realistically be serviced, and the grade narrows quickly. Background: choosing a PPI and polyester against polyether.

    § 04 · How it is supplied

    Getting it to Guwahati.

Most Assam enquiries arrive as one of two things: a die-cut element matched to a filter that already exists, or sheet stock for a converter cutting in-house. Both start from the same information — grade, thickness, and either a drawing, a DXF or the old part. Repeat orders then run against the same tooling.

We cut the foam ourselves at our own facility in Ghaziabad, which is why the recommendation above is a technical opinion rather than whatever happens to be in stock. Pricing is volume-based — see how foam is quoted.

    § 05 · Assam questions

    Common questions.

Do you supply reticulated foam filters in Assam?

Yes — die-cut filter elements, gaskets and sheet stock, supplied to industry across Assam including Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia, Bongaigaon, Numaligarh, Silchar and Jorhat. Manufacturing is at our own facility in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and orders ship to you directly. Grades run from 20 to 80 PPI and thickness from 5 mm upwards, cut to your drawing, DXF or a sample of the element you want matched.

Which foam grade suits conditions in Assam?

One of the wettest and most humid regions in India, with an extremely heavy monsoon and high relative humidity for most of the year. Humidity governs everything here, so polyether only — a polyester element in Assam would not last a season. Tea factory and plywood duties want 20 PPI in thick sections for the fibre load. Given the five-to-six-day freight, specify generously and hold a spare set rather than ordering reactively.

What should a tea factory or plywood mill specify?

20 PPI polyether in the thickest section the housing takes. Tea leaf dust and wood fibre are both bulky rather than fine, so they load by volume — a deep coarse element holds a great deal before airflow drops, and rinses clean. Two practical additions for Assam: run two sets in rotation so a wash never stops the line, and dry elements completely before refitting, which in this humidity takes longer than people expect.
